Migraine Treatment (Migraine Botox & Migraine Surgery)
One drug that many patients have found helpful is botulinum toxin A (Botox), a neurotoxin that has been shown to markedly decrease the number and severity of migraines. Injected by an experienced practitioner in treating migraines, it represents a paradigm shift from merely relying on oral medication. Chronic migraine non-responsive to medication and neurotoxin treatment may require migraine surgery. During migraine surgery, the surgeon decompresses the peripheral nerve associated with the area in which the patient experiences migraines, with a goal of releasing the pressure points around the nerve fibers. In many patients, this alleviates or decreases the intensity of future migraine or other persistent headaches. The specific type of surgery depends on the nature of the migraines.
Botulinum Toxin for Erectile Dysfunction
The botulinum toxin injections in specific anatomical landmarks can increase blood flow to the penis by paralyzing the smooth muscles in the penis. The treatment would mostly last six months for anybody who would be interested in the injection.
Facial paralysis surgery (Facial Reanimation)
The techniques most used nowadays to refresh the paralyzed face are the cross-face nerve graft and the transposition of the temporalis muscle, the neurorrahphy between the hypoglossal nerve and the damaged facial nerve and the microsurgical transplant of the gracilis muscle. For recent paralysis, we prefer the cross-face nerve graft with the end-to-side neurorrhaphy. That means to put one or two grafts of the sural nerve connecting the normal facial nerve to the paralyzed one without splitting any of the face nerves up. In older cases, we use the orthodromic transposition of the temporalis muscle.
Asian Blepharoplasty (incisional & non-incisional) & Lower Eyellid surgery (Eyebags)
About 50 percent of the Asian population lacks a natural fold just above the lashes in the upper eyelid. Depending on the aesthetics of your face, this single-fold structure can prevent you from having the bright, defined eyes you desire. Asian eyelid surgery is designed to address the unique needs of those with single folds to provide the facial appearance you want. Eye bag surgery is a cosmetic procedure known as lower blepharoplasty. It lifts the lower eyelid and removes excess tissue from the under-eye area.
Brow lift (Open & Endoscopic)
Because Asian patients do not experience aging in the face the same way as some other ethnicities, the surgical techniques used to correct the signs of aging need to be tailored to their specific needs. Facial aging in Asian patients typically appears around the eyes, brows, and mid-face (under eye area). Brow lift surgery can be tailored to help Asian patients achieve a younger, more rested appearance.
Abdominal Etching (6 pack surgery)
Abdominal etching, also known as 'six-pack liposuction' or 'six pack surgery', is a procedure that removes stomach fat, allowing your natural abs to protrude forward and create a natural 'six-pack appearance.
Facial /Jaw Bone Contouring
Facial contouring surgery can be divided into 2, which enhances size and facial line of cheekbone, square jaw, and chin and a bimaxillary surgery operating on the bones of upper and lower jaw. Facial bone contouring surgery is indicated for square jaws, prominent lower jaw, retruded chin and prominent cheeks.
Rhinoplasty (Open Structured Rhinoplasty )
The open structure rhinoplasty technique requires advanced training to perform, and is by far the most thorough and structurally sound approach. This technique involves a specific series of surgical manouvres using the patient's own cartilage as structural grafts to maintain the nose's shape
Burns Contracture / Scarring Surgery
Once established, burn contractures can be treated with serial splinting, release of contracting bands with Z-plasties, incision and skin grafting or excision and resurfacing with skin grafts or flaps, local rotation flaps, use of tissue expanders, or with free flap reconstruction. Burns scars can also be resurfaced with laser surgery, and fat grafting.
Penile Enlargement /Lengthening
The mainstay of penile lengthening procedures are a combination of release of the suspensory ligament of the penis with an inverted V–Y penopubic skin advancement. Most surgeons recommend cutting the suspensory and fundiform ligament in combination with the use of postoperative penile weights. Fat grafting or alloderm implantation can enhance girth of penis significantly.
Regenerative Medicine (Platelet Rich Stroma & Stromal Vascular Fractionate)
Regenerative medicine is the branch of medicine that develops methods to regrow, repair or replace damaged or diseased cells, organs or tissues. Regenerative medicine includes the generation and use of therapeutic stem cells, tissue engineering and the administration of Platelet RIch Plasma, Platelet Rich Stroma (PRS), Stromal Vascular Fracionate and Adipose Derived Stem Cells (ADSC). They can be applied to a wide variety of disorders from aging, injury to aesthetic enhancement.
Dermatological Surgery
Dermatologic surgery is the treatment of medically necessary and cosmetic skin, nail, and hair conditions by various surgical methods. It is also called dermatological surgery. Cosmetic surgical procedures include: Dermabrasion, Eyelid surgery, Scar treatments such as Subcision (scars), Hair replacement, Liposuction, Suction curettage for sweating (hyperhidrosis).
Laser Surgery
In the last 20 years, advances in laser technology have revolutionised their use in the treatment of many skin conditions and congenital defects, including vascular and pigmented lesions, and the removal of tattoos, scars and wrinkles. There is a spectrum of laser and light technologies available for skin resurfacing and rejuvenation.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy uses injections of a concentration of a patient's own platelets to accelerate the healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints. In this way, PRP injections use each individual patient's own healing system to improve musculoskeletal problems. PRP stimulates collagen and elastin production which thickens and tightens thinning skin, effectively smoothing wrinkles and fine lines. Because it boosts collagen, it's also a great treatment for improving overall skin texture and tone. It's particularly good for people who suffer from rosacea or acne.
Scar Revision Treatment (including Acne Scarring)
To reduce the chance of scarring, seek treatment for your acne early. Severe acne can often be cured by topicals and oral medication. However if a scar is already established, scar revision may be required. Using a minor procedure called punch excision, your doctor cuts out individual acne scars and repairs the wound with stitches or a skin graft. Another technique called subcision involves your doctor inserting needles under the skin to loosen fibers below a scar, to help improve its appearance. Laser, RF, chemical peels and dermaneedling with PRP or stem cells can also help treat severe scarring.
Botulinum Toxin
Botox injections are noted primarily for the ability to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles. They're also used to treat conditions such as neck spasms (cervical dystonia), excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), an overactive bladder and lazy eye. Botox injections may also help prevent chronic migraines.
Bat Ear Correction (Otoplasty)
Bat ear correction or otoplasty, is a plastic surgery procedure designed to pull the ears closer to the head. Otoplasty is a common plastic surgery for adults and children with protruding ears. Our practice uses the Pitanguy Island Flap technique for stable safe results in otoplasty.
Brazilian Butt Lift (Gluteal Augmentation)
The Brazilian Butt Lift pioneered by Brazilian plastic surgery guru Ivo Pitanguy removes unwanted body fat from areas such as the tummy or thighs and transfers it to your buttocks, giving you a flatter stomach and slimmer waist while shaping your behind and tightening your skin. Using our HI- Definition liposuction technology, the surgeon sucks your fat cell by cell from unwanted areas, thoughtfully sculpting your abdominal area and waist. Afterward, this same fat is then purified and then inserted into your bottom(buttocks) with meticulous precision, leaving only a small freckle-sized mark.
Hi- Definition Liposuction
High definition (hi-def) liposuction is an advanced liposculpting procedure that strategically sculpts the body by removing fat in problem areas while at the same time exposing and highlighting important muscle groups in the body to create natural contours. A youthful body is 3 dimensional, composed of light and shadows. If traditional liposuction is like painting with a broad brush, high-definition liposuction is more akin to painting with a fine brush. Methodology of Hi-Def Liposuction allows precise pockets of fat to be removed very closely to the skin and directly over the muscles. Removal of these small deposits exposes natural muscular contours which were not visible before. Because much of this fat is located alongside various muscle groups, its removal helps to create more muscular definition.
Tummy tuck (Abdominoplasty/Lipoabdominoplasty)
An abdominoplasty is a procedure that flattens your abdomen by removing extra fat and skin and tightening muscles in your abdominal wall. This surgical procedure is also known as a tummy tuck. Abdominoplasty can be combined with Hi-Definition (Hi-Def) Liposuction for enhanced results.
Breast Augmentation (Implants and Fat Grafting)
Breast augmentation, sometimes referred to as a "breast aug" or "boob job" by patients, involves using breast implants or fat transfer to increase the size of your breasts. This procedure can also restore breast volume lost after weight reduction or pregnancy, achieve a more rounded breast shape or improve natural breast size asymmetry. Breast augmentation is also referred to as augmentation mammoplasty. When fat from another part of the patient's body is used to create the improved breast volume, the procedure is referred to as fat transfer breast augmentation.
Thigh lift (Thighplasty)
Thighplasty is a procedure to tighten and improve the overall appearance of thighs. Candidates for this procedure have loss of skin elasticity in the thigh or have thighs with a saggy, dimpled or flabby appearance which improves dramatically if the loose skin is lifted. A thigh lift can reduce sagging in the inner or outer thigh. It is often a procedure performed on patients who have lost a great deal of weight.
Labiaplasty
Labiaplasty, also known as aesthetic vaginal surgery or vaginal reconstructive surgery, is a procedure performed to reduce or reshape the lips of the vagina, known as the labia. Labia minora are the inner lips, while the outer rims are known as labia majora. The labia cover the clitoris and vaginal opening. When they are enlarged or asymmetrical, women can experience pain during intercourse or embarrassment during daily activities. Dr Khoo customizes labiaplasty to meet the unique needs of each of his patients. While it is most common to reduce the labia minora, the labia majora and tissue around the clitoris can also be addressed. During your consultation, you and Dr Khoo will discuss your concerns and goals for the surgery so that you can design a custom treatment plan for you.
Revirgination (Hymen restoration/Hymenoplasty)
A hymenoplasty is a surgical procedure that restores the hymen, a membrane that partially covers the opening of the vagina. A hymenoplasty procedure is typically done for religious or cultural purposes as an intact hymen is considered a sign of virginity for some. The surgery is discreet and the surgeon does not judge nor condone the procedure.
Skin Lesions/ Rashes (Irritation)
Conditions treated (1)Acne and acne scars (2) Eczema (3) Psoriasis (4) Skin infections (bacterial, fungal, viral) (5) Warts (6) Skin tags (7) Urticaria (hives) and unknown rashes (8) Hair loss (9) Nail infections/avulsions (10) Keloids/hypertrophic scarring (11) Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) (12) Hyperpigmentation (Darkened skin)
Breast lift/ Breast Reduction
A breast lift — also known as mastopexy — is a surgical procedure performed by a plastic surgeon to change the shape of your breasts. During a breast lift, excess skin is removed and breast tissue is reshaped to raise the breasts. Breast reduction surgery is an operation to remove extra fat, tissue, and skin from your breasts. If you have large breasts that are out of proportion to the rest of your body and causing neck pain, back pain, or other symptoms, you may be considering breast reduction surgery.
Male breast reduction (Men Boobs Surgery/ Gynecomastia Surgery)
A male breast reduction is the most effective known treatment for gynecomastia, or enlarged male breasts. This cosmetic surgery procedure removes excess fat and glandular tissue to restore a flatter, firmer and more masculine contour to the chest. Due to genetics, use of certain medications, or other unspecified reasons, some men develop the appearance of enlarged breasts. It is estimated that up to 30% of men experience some degree of gynecomastia during their lifetime. Gynecomastia can present at any age, and male breast reduction can be performed safely and successfully on teenagers and adult men alike.
The "O" Shot (Orgasm Shot)
An O-Shot promises to be a non-surgical way to increase sexual arousal and rejuvenate the vagina. In fact, O-Shot is short for Orgasm Shot. The O-Shot treatment uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP), which is a concentration of a patient's platelets. The activated platelets are injected into the vaginal and clitoral area to stimulate new cell growth. O-Shots are performed by a physician who has undergone training to administer one
Circumcision
During a circumcision, the foreskin is freed from the head of the penis, and the excess foreskin is clipped off. The procedure begins with medical staff cleaning then numbing the penis, either with a small shot of medicine or a numbing cream. They’ll put a clamp or ring on the penis, and the doctor removes the foreskin. A topical antibiotic ointment or petroleum jelly will then be put on the area, and it’s wrapped with gauze. Older boys and men may be given medicine to sleep during the procedure. When a newborn is circumcised, the procedure takes about 5-10 minutes. Adult circumcision takes about an hour.
Hyperhidrosis treatment (Sweaty palms, Sweaty Armpits)
Underarm surgery techniques include: excision, curettage, and liposuction. During excision, sweat glands may be cut out. Similarly, during curettage they may be scraped out. During liposuction they may be removed by suction. Combinations of curettage and central excision may be used, as well as combinations of curretage with liposuction. Patients who prefer non surgical options get good results with botox treatments. Each of these procedures can be done under local anesthesia (meaning that the patient is not completely "out") and in an office setting (as opposed to in a hospital setting).
Facial Fat Grafting
As you age, your face gradually loses the volume and shape it had in youth. Facial fat grafting, also known as autologous fat transplantation or lipoinjection, can fill in features of your face using fat cells extracted from other parts of your body. This fat may be harvested from your abdomen, thighs, buttocks, or elsewhere. When injected beneath the facial skin, it can fill in sunken cheeks and the eye area, reduce line folds and scars, and enhance lip size. Essentially, if other facial cosmetic procedures level the “mountains” of your face, facial fat grafting fills in the “valleys.” Facial fat grafting can give you results that look and feel natural. It can be used to optimize the results of larger reconstructive or cosmetic procedures or be used as a stand-alone technique for recreating a more youthful face.
Facelift/Necklift
Facelift and necklift surgery can be one of the most exciting and satisfying surgeries cosmetic surgeons perform. It is the mommy makeover for the face. Common complaints from patients who seek facial rejuvenation surgery include, “ I look tired, I look older than I feel, or I simply want to look younger”. A facelift-necklift helps improve the most visible signs of aging through removal and redistributing excess fatty deposits, tightening underlying muscles, and removing sagging skin. The standard facelift addresses the lower 2/3 of the face and the neck. Muscle tightening in the neck (the platysma) improves the effects of facelift surgery.
Arm-lift (Brachioplasty)
An arm lift is a cosmetic surgical procedure to improve the appearance of the under portion of your upper arms. During an arm lift — also known as brachioplasty — excess skin and fat are removed from between the armpit and elbow. The remaining skin is placed back over the newly repositioned contours to create a more toned look.
Vaginoplasty (Vaginal tightening)
Vaginaplasty is a cosmetic/reconstructive surgical procedure that improves structural weakness of the vaginal entrance or canal. During a vaginaplasty, the vagina is tightened as the surgeon takes away excess stretched tissue and tightens the tissues and muscles surrounding the vagina. A vaginaplasty procedure tightens the woman’s vagina and the surrounding tissues, resulting in a tightness similar to that before the woman’s pregnancies. This, naturally, leads to increased friction during sexual intercourse. Ideally, the woman will consequently experience more satisfaction in her sex life–as will her male partner.
Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers help to diminish facial lines and restore volume and fullness in the face. What dermal fillers can do - (1)Plump thin lips (2)Enhance shallow contours (3)Soften facial creases and wrinkles (4)Improve the appearance of recessed scars (5)Reconstruct contour deformities in the face (6)Decrease or remove the shadow of the lower lids For some patients, surgery such as a facelift, brow lift or eye lift may be the best approach. Minimally invasive rejuvenation treatments, such as soft tissue fillers, cannot achieve the same results, but may help delay the time when consideration of a facelift becomes appropriate. It is important to remember that dermal fillers are temporary treatments for facial aging and that ongoing treatments will be needed for long-term results.
Acne Treatment (Acne Vulgaris & Acne Roscacea)
Acne treatments aren't one-size-fits-all. If prescription creams and antibiotics aren't working for you — or if you can't tolerate the side effects that medications can cause — you might consider acne treatments that can be provided at your doctor's office. Topical creams, medicated gels and oral medication (retinoids/antibiotics) may be prescribed as necessary. Several types of office-based medical procedures — such as light therapy, chemical peels and steroid injections — may be used as adjunct treatments. When the acne is controlled, attention will then be shifted on treating and camouflaging the acne scars.
The "P" Shot (Priapus Shot)
Why is it called P-shots or Priapus shots? It was introduced by Dr. Charles Runels, an American born doctor, after he first injected it into his own penis and noticed his erections were noticeably harder and lasted longer. Thus, he gave its name Priapus, from the Greek god of male regenerative power – who represented what he was trying to achieve. The P-Shot is based on PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) therapy that was initially used in wound healing, muscle and joint injuries, but now has evolved to address aesthetic concerns and sexual dysfunction (Erectile Dysfunction and Peyronie’s Disease for men). PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma is one of the most advanced and effective natural treatments for cellular repair. Concentrated platelets, rich in bioactive proteins, release growth factors to stimulate cellular regeneration and accelerate tissue repair.
Skin Cancer Surgery / Mole Removal
Surgery is a common treatment for basal cell and squamous cell skin cancers. Different surgical techniques can be used. The options depend on the type of skin cancer, how large the cancer is, where it is on the body, and other factors. Most often the surgery can be done in a doctor’s office or hospital clinic using a local anesthetic (numbing medicine)
