Frailty is a lack of physiological reserve making the person vulnerable to poor health. It varies in severity and the degree of frailty in a person is not static. Older people living with frailty is at risk of dramatic deterioration in health after an apparent small incident such as a fall or infection.

The global prevalence of frailty is between 4-59% and it increases with age because our body slows down with natural wear and tear. Frailty can be measured using a variety of methods by your doctor. The principle of all these measurement methods is the same; the more things that are wrong with you, the more likely you are to be frail

Alzheimer’s is the most common cause of dementia and accounts up to 60% of dementia cases. It is a progressive disease whereby the symptoms will gradually worsen with time. In the beginning, it may just be some memory loss. However, as the condition progresses, the dementia condition will affect one’s ability to perform tasks as well as the reasoning and thinking skills
